Under the Pakistan Women Leaders Project, funded by the European Union in Pakistan, PIPS, @Women’s Parliamentary Caucus (WPC) and UN Women brought together leaders and experts for the National Consultation on “Constitution for All,” examining how the Constitution’s promises translate into reality.
With a gender lens, participants revisited key articles safeguarding:
Built on the first Gender Analysis of the Constitution (2023).
•Only 102 of 305 Articles need gender-inclusive wording — a clear path for reform.
•Call to amend the General Clauses Act 1897 to embed inclusive language.
•Urged action to align constitutional promises with everyday realities.
